A very tragic circumstance happened August 1, 2009 at Makati Med around 3:18 in the morning. While most of us were sleeping, our beloved former President Corazon Aquino released her last breathe.
I was shocked when I heard the news, and a little happy, because Cory can now ascend and meet God in heaven, all her pains were over.
Who is Mrs. Cory Aquino?
She is an icon who ruled the Philippines after the Martial Law era. A woman who fought the dictatorship and brought back the freedom we are enjoying today. The whole world admired for her faithful legacy to achieve our freedom from the greedy people.
During her term as President, different coups and strikes occurred, but all these were resolved peacefully without using “kamay na bakal”. Cory is known for being a religious practitioner; she is a woman for her family, friends and for the whole nation.
